How Exotic Car Allocations Work

A buyer's guide to Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini and McLaren allocations: how dealers assign limited cars, what builds priority, and how a broker helps you get the car you want.

An allocation is a dealer's right to order a specific limited-production car. Manufacturers hand them out based on the dealer's sales volume and performance, and dealers in turn assign them to customers. Most stores prioritize purchase history, service history and relationships, which is why a first-time buyer walking in for a GT3 RS or a limited Ferrari is usually told there is a list. Apex Auto Advisors works these relationships on the client's behalf: we know which dealers have cars coming, what builds priority at each store, and when a build slot is real versus a deposit on a hope.

If you want a limited car, start early, be honest about your timeline, and be careful with deposits and market adjustments. We represent buyers nationwide and are paid at completion.
